Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BookWorkNow ("we," "us," "our," "the platform"). By creating an account, submitting a service request, or otherwise using BookWorkNow, you agree to these Terms.

What BookWorkNow Is

BookWorkNow is a platform that connects homeowners with independent local home service contractors. We are not a contractor, and we do not perform, supervise, warranty, or guarantee any home service work. Contractors listed on BookWorkNow are independent businesses, not our employees, agents, or partners.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

For Homeowners

• Submitting a service request connects you with an available contractor; it does not create a contract with BookWorkNow.
• Any agreement, quote, price, timeline, or warranty for work performed is between you and the contractor directly.
• Reviews you submit must reflect your genuine experience and comply with our content guidelines — no false, defamatory, or abusive content.

For Contractors

• You represent that you hold all licenses, insurance, and permits required by Virginia law and any applicable local jurisdiction for the trades you list.
• Subscription fees are billed via Stripe according to the plan you select (Starter, Pro, or Elite) and the billing interval (monthly or yearly) you choose. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
• Lead volume and features available to your account depend on your subscription tier, as described on our Pricing page.
• You are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of work you perform, and for any quotes, estimates, or agreements you send through the platform.
• We may suspend or terminate your listing for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct harmful to homeowners or the platform.

Quotes and Electronic Signatures

BookWorkNow allows contractors to send itemized quotes to homeowners for electronic signature. By typing your name and confirming acceptance, you agree that this constitutes your legal electronic signature, with the same effect as a handwritten signature, under applicable e-signature law. We record the timestamp and IP address of each signature as part of that record. BookWorkNow is not a party to any quote or agreement signed through the platform — it is a tool facilitating an agreement directly between the homeowner and the contractor.

Payments

Contractor subscription payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to ours. We do not store your full payment card details.

Prohibited Conduct

• Submitting false, fraudulent, or spam service requests
• Impersonating another person or business
• Attempting to circumvent, disrupt, or abuse the platform's automated systems
• Posting false or defamatory reviews
• Using the platform for any unlawful purpose

Disclaimer of Warranties

BookWorkNow is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, timeliness, or outcome of any work performed by contractors listed on the platform. We do not vet, license, or insure contractors beyond what is self-reported.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookWorkNow is not liable for any damages arising from work performed by contractors, disputes between homeowners and contractors, or your use of the platform, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or financial loss.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of BookWorkNow after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
